A Perfect Party for Trees

I’m thrilled to finally share the World Premiere of Trusty Sidekick Theater Company’s A Perfect Party for Trees, which I'm honored to have written.

Coming June 24-26 to New York State Puppet Festival

It’s about a birthday party for the trees. The Beekeeper and The Bear need to make it happen, but they don’t know how, and they’ll be helped by a hiker named Ms. Branch, a badger, a bird, and you, their party guests. It’s an outdoor show for neuro-diverse audiences that hikes, sings, digs, and meditates. It’s pretty special and we’re excited.

This show has been a deeply collaborative experience and was co-created with a pile of extraordinary humans, and I’ll try to highlight lots of them as I crow about this leading up to the premiere at The Autism Nature Trail at Letchworth State Park (which we're so thrilled to have the opportunity to do).

For now, I’ll first sing the praises of my co-artistic leads, the extraordinarily keen-eyed director Leigh Walter and the exceptionally keen-minded Associate Director Andrew Duff. Their collective wisdom could fill all the boats, it’s been such a joy to make a thing by their side.

Tickets are very limited. This show was designed for and with neuro-diverse audiences with a focus on the autism community, but welcomes audiences of all kinds. If you have any kiddos upstate or know of any, please send them our way.

More about how amazing they are soon, but for now I'll simply name-drop all of these perfect humans who also created this wonder:
