I can’t say enough how excited I am to be re-launching and re-branding my Sock Puppet Portraits alongside my entire brand/world, Sock Puppet City. 

In case you don’t know this about me, I sold Sock Puppet Portraits full time for nearly a decade. Putting them in a suitcase and hawking them to strangers was my first job in NYC, and lead to all of my professional connections here – from published books to meetings at Comedy Central to knowing and working with an incredible and inspiring  community of creatives.

About six years ago, I made a decision to scale the business back after a tough year that ended by losing my source for little frames. What changed? I found new frames, but more importantly, I have a Great Big Plan that involves Re-branding, Expanding, and Building an Online Community. But more than anything else, I lived through this last year, and just gotta return to the dream, know what I mean?

I’m thrilled and also very nervous!

Please know that, when we’re at go-time, if for whatever reason you can’t/don’t wanna support this Kickstarter financially – first of all that is so super ok! You are awesome! And if you still want to help, another INCREDIBLY HELPFUL way to support is simply by spreading the word about it. These days the internet is designed to make anything underperform unless you pay for ads. But we the people can subvert that stupid algorithm! (It helps if you share and you want to pledge, too!)
